could you elaborate a bit more ?
Actually we have tested backtrace() in shared case ... not sure if there
could be problem when static libraries are used. It could be that there
are problems in using dlopen with static lirabries (even if we have used
it in the past).

We'll try to give a look. If you have a test case to share, please do.

On which platform are you trying to use it ?
