not necessarily.  apparently the linkedin apps suck and aren't clear (probably 
on purpose) when syncing contacts that they might spam everyone imported.  
i've been contacted by a few people and they found out that it did that after 
the fact.

at any rate, i've unsubscribed him from the list.
