make utils should work now. May need a little kick in the pants:
utils/Makefile.in may need to add

-Wl,--dynamic-linker,$(SHARED_LIB_LOADER_PREFIX)/ld-uClibc.so.0

to compile commandlines if SHARED_LIB_LOADER_PREFIX != /lib.

Please report if you will find such small problems.
