Mostly I was just trying to ask whether it _would_ be fixed in 4.1 or 4.2. (I
admit the venting's sort of backlogged a bit when the topic comes up.)

I wouldn't say "like". I have to make the darn thing work, and believe it
really shouldn't be this hard on a number of fronts, but usually I've managed
to bash through it.

When I spoke to the guy the bug was assigned to a few weeks before 4.1.2
shipped it hadn't been and they didn't have plans to do so, but that suggests
it was, so [goes to test...]

Huh, it's working. Dunno if it was the move to 4.1.2 or because
http://trac.cross-lfs.org/browser/branches/clfs-embedded/patches/linux-2.6.20-squashfs-1.patch?rev=3359
isn't triggering it the way
http://trac.cross-lfs.org/browser/branches/clfs-embedded/patches/linux-2.6.19-squashfs-1.patch?rev=3176
did, but either way I'm happy to call it "fixed" and stop complaining about
it.

Thanks for pointing this out. Sorry for being grumpy about it earlier.

No, that was it:

http://landley.net/notes-2006.html#23-12-2006
http://landley.net/notes-2006.html#30-12-2006

Things have changed since then and I was behind the times. The versions
broken/working up at the top of the bug report weren't updated when 4.1.2 was
released and I missed the new note at the end.
