libgcc_s.so is unnecessarily linked for MIPS

libgcc.a is always linked against, independently of having libgcc_s.so or
not (gcc -dumpspecs shows that). libgcc_s.so has symbols that are not in
libgcc.a (they are in libgcc_eh.a for static links)
