hi mike,

thanks for the quick reply.

but after removing ccache from the way, I get gcc working

[root at opala ~]# which gcc
/usr/bin/gcc
[root at opala /]# gcc
gcc: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[root at opala /]#

*because the host libc and ld* are in /lib. when I remove them, I get the familiar

[root at opala ~]# which gcc
/usr/bin/gcc
[root at opala /]# gcc
bash: /usr/bin/gcc: No such file or directory
[root at opala /]#

as described in the original post. now I doubt it has something to do with ccache
since the gcc binary itself is compiled against the host libc...

any help?

regards,
pedro venda.
