Subject: [uClibc] Building NTP

Hi,

I am attempting to build ntp and it is not working at all. To start
with, I am using the following:

buildroot - snapshot from 20050810
busybox - snapshot from 20050815
uClibc - snapshot from 20050815
gcc - gcc-4.0.0
host - Fedora Core 4
target - i386.

Problems:

1.) NTP needs libelf. To fix this I added libelf to the buildroot build
list.

2.) libelf will not create a shared library object (see bug 368 -
http://bugs.uclibc.org/view.php?id=386
<http://bugs.uclibc.org/view.php?id=386> ). This is currently forced to
work for me.

3.) NTP is referencing the wrong library set.

QUESTION: Is it possible to build NTP to use uClibc? If so, what am I
missing?

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Stan
