[uClibc] gcc from root_fs fails when compiling kernel 2.6.6

Hello list,

I'm trying to compile the 2.6.6 kernel using the root-fs I copied
yesterday (root_fs_i386.bz2).

The compilation fails:

  CC      drivers/pci/remove.o
  CC      drivers/pci/pci.o
  CC      drivers/pci/quirks.o
  HOSTCC  drivers/pci/gen-devlist
gcc: Internal error: Aborted (program collect2)

Has anyone else encountered this problem or have suggestions?
