[uClibc] When I use disc system is halted.

Hi,
I use uClibc and busybox with kernel 2.4.21 for i386. When I try do this:
dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/null bs=1024 count=1000
system is halted. No error messages, no reaction.
When I write count=100 it's OK.
When I do this on computer with procesor i486 it's OK.
When I use kernel 2.4.20 from RedHat 9.0 it's OK
I thing that my kernel 2.4.21 is compiled with wrong parameters. Do you know 
what is wrong? Do you know what kernel parameter is needed?
