[uClibc] Having problems with zlib today

Hi all:

After checking out the latest batch of updates to buildroot, I am having
issues building the zlib target:

        /opt/build/buildroot/build_mipsel/staging_dir/bin/mipsel-uclibc-gcc -Os -g -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -fPIC -o example example.o -L. -lz
        ./libz.a: could not read symbols: Archive has no index; run
        ranlib to add one
        collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Anyone else experiencing this error?
