Hello again,
	As promised, here's a patch.  This takes care of most (if not
all) of the download issues.  I'm going to keep digging through the
files, and will submit patches as I find problems.  This is taken from
the CVS as of 20 minutes ago (Nov. 09/Nov. 10).
