[uClibc]Size of PPC-binaries too big?

Hello,

I am new with uclibc, but i successfully managed
compiling, installing and running CGI-programms compiled with uclibc on
a i386-pc. Everything was fine, my CGI binaries were ~8-12 Kb(about 20KB with glibc).

Now I'm trying to cross compile to PPC405 (gcc 2.95.3 with binutils 2.14 and
uclibc 0.9.20 as i386->ppc cross compiler). Size of programms is about 30-35 KB now. Size of a simple HelloWorld-programm is about 20 KB! If I use
monta vista's cross compiler with glibc, my ppc-binaries are much smaller.
I've tryed to set up monta vista's to work with uclibc, it works but
size of programms is much bigger as with glibc again...
(uclibc is built with RPC but without wideChar support)

It's a general ppc problem, or i'm doing something wrong?

Cheers
Sergej
