The usual way is to burn some transfer software on CD-ROM, best available
is at http://www.cerc.utexas.edu/~andrewk/dc/.
And then you can transfer an image containing kernel and initrd via either
serial link (cable ~$25) or Network Adapter (~$120). If you have the
Network, you can also do something like rootfs on nfs.
There's also a port of Debian around, so that you can boot a CD and have
Linux Console, X11, etc. (http://www.m17n.org/linux-sh/dreamcast/)
BTW: Can anyone tell me how fast an SH4 200MHz is compared to Intel
Pentium 1? It sure doesn't feel like a 200MHz one. :-(
