I guess you never saw the release notes	for 0.9.15...

Yes, perl 5.6 and 5.8 build against uClibc.  I spent about 2 weeks
tracking down bugs before that release to make sure both perl and python
passed their self-tests when built against uClibc.

There's the miniperl that gets built when you build perl.  That may
suffice for you.
