Agreed.  Any ideas on where one goes about getting a copy of the ANSI/ISO
standard docs?   I suppose it would be too much to ask to have these available
for free online somewhere.  I think it would be tremendously useful to have a
copy so I could begin at page 1, and walk through to the end making sure
everything behaves itself.  For the moment, I suppose adapting the POSIX
conformance test suite 
    ftp://lsb.sourceforge.net/pub/lsb/LSB-VSX1.0-1/
to our own evil purposes would do.

Also, on the subject of testing, I'm not sure if you noticed but I 
did a large update of test suite -- it now uses gcc-uClibc and
has common makefile settings.

Also, on the subject of your not noticing -- I just realized that cvs commit
messages were not being sent to the mailing list.  I just fixed this so now
everyone should be able to see when things have been checked in.
